Asserts that working in both public and technical services can be beneficial to an individual's job performance in each area. Although frustrating at times, the rewads outweigh the agonies. Claims that working as a cataloguer and reference librarian helps diminish animosities that may exist between the 2 groups and promotes understanding and cooperation
