"FIZ Karlsruhe, europäisches Servicezentrum des in Wissenschaft und Technik führenden Online-Dienstes STN International, hat sein Angebot an hochwertigen Patentdatenbanken weiter optimiert. Die neue Patentdatenbank »Epfull« (The European Patents Fulltext database) enthält Volltexte von europäischen Patentanmeldungen und erteilten europäischen Patenten sowie bibliografische Angaben von PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty)-Anmeldungen, die an das Europäische Patentamt weitergeleitet wurden. Epfull ersetzt die früheren Datenbanken »Europatfull« und »Patosep« und bietet eine ideale Ergänzung zum PatentvolltextPortfolio bei STN. Eine Vielzahl von Suchfeldern ermöglicht detaillierte Recherchen und statistische Auswertungen. Verfügbar sind zum Beispiel Suchmöglichkeiten nach speziellen Informationen wie Adressangaben der Anmelder und Erfinder. Die Suche mit einem Wortstamm ist ebenfalls möglich. Zugänglich sind die insgesamt rund 220 Online-Datenbanken auf STN über proprietäre Datennetze und im Internet über »STN an the Web« mit einem üblichen Web-Browser (http://stnweb.fiz-karlsruhe.de). Epfull wird auch über »STN Easy«, die Web-Oberfläche für Anfänger und Schnellrecherchen, angeboten (http://stneasy.fiz-karlsruhe. de)."
