"Der hbz-Werkzeugkasten, die umfassende Linksammlung des hbz zu Buch und Bibliothek, beinhaltet jetzt mehr als 100.000 Links, davon fast 70.000 Haupteinträge (http://toolbox.hbz-nrw.de). Nachgewiesen werden Internetquellen zu deutschen und internationalen Bibliotheken und deren Katalogen, Verlagen, Auktionshäusern, Antiquariaten, Suchmaschinen, Nachschlagewerken, Bibliographien, Aufsatz-, Zeitschriften- und Zeitungsdatenbanken, Rezensionen, Veranstaltungen und vielem mehr. Die komfortable Rechercheoberfläche bietet sowohl eine systematische Suche nach Themengebiet als auch eine zielgerichtete Suchfunktion an. Ein Abonnement als RSS-Feed liefert bequem die jeweils neuesten Einträge. Bei ständig steigenden Nutzungszahlen findet der hbz-Werkzeugkasten auch große internationale Beachtung: Monatlich erfolgen zur Zeit rund eine Million Zugriffe von mehr als 44.000 unterschiedlichen Anwendern aus mehr als 100 Ländern. An erster Stelle stehen hier die USA, dann folgen Deutschland und die europäischen Länder. Der hbz-Werkzeugkasten wird erstellt mit DigiLink, dem Linkverwaltungssystem des hbz (http://www.hbz-nrw.de/angebote/digilink/)."
