Auf dem chinesischen Markt, von dem die Covid-19-Pandemie mutmaßlich ausging, sind hunderte Abstrichproben genommen worden. Deren Untersuchung beweist: Das frühe Infektionsgeschehen spielte sich in Anwesenheit von Tieren ab. Trotzdem ist nach wie vor unklar, wie die Seuche begann.
