Die von Friedrich Nestler nun völlig neu bearbeitete Ausgabe behält den Umfang der letzten, fünften Auflage von 1969 bei, nimmt aber die sehr zahlreichen Neuerscheinungen aus reichlich 6 Jahrzehnten sowie die elektronischen verzeichnisse auf und trennt sich weitgehend von älterer Literatur.
