- SIPORbase, the System for Indexing in Portuguese, was developed by the National Library of Portugal, based on the LCSH. In contrast to the Brunet-Parguez system used in France, SIPORbase is a coextensive indexing language. Its initial application in 1989 to current bibliography has been extended to the collection of codices.
