    "Bin gestern im MoMA gewesen. Hab dann noch mal in der Tate vorbeigeschaut. Nachher dann noch einen Abstecher in die Alte Nationalgalerie gemacht. New York, London, Berlin an einem Tag, das ist dank Google kein Problem mehr. Auf der Plattform www.googleartproject.com bietet der Netz-Gigant jetzt einige virtuelle Museumsrundgänge durch einige der bekanntesten und bedeutendsten Häuser der Welt an. Googles neuestes Angebot unterscheidet sich von den in der Regel gut aufgestellten Homepages der Museen vor allem durch die Street-View-Technologie, mit der man von Raum zu Raum und von Bild zu Bild wandeln kann. Dazu hat der Besucher die Möglichkeit, zahlreiche Informationen zu den Kunstwerken abzurufen, oder die Werke in hochauflösenden Vergrößerungen anzuschauen. Aus jeder der teilnehmenden 17 Sammlungen hat Google ein Werk in einer Auflösung von sieben Milliarden Pixeln fotografiert. Wenn man da beim Rundgang durch die Alte Nationalgalerie auf Edouard Manets "Dans la Serre" (Im Wintergarten) trifft und nur einmal den Fingerring des Mannes heranzoomt, wird er gleichsam zur Unkenntlichkeit vergrößert, und man sieht wie unter einem Mikroskop jedes kleinste Detail des Farbauftrags, jeden feinsten Riss. Faszinierend. Auch wenn es das Original nicht ersetzt."

    Abstract
    Informationssuche findet heute vor allem im Internet statt. Sie hat sich damit mehr und mehr von den räumlichen und zeitlichen Beschränkungen gelöst, die durch die Erreichbarkeit und die Öffnungszeiten von Bibliotheken gegeben waren. Informationssuchende wollen möglichst rund um die Uhr an sieben Tagen in der Woche vom heimischen PC aus oder mobil via Notebook in weltweit bereitgestellten Informationsangeboten recherchieren und dabei auch professionelle Auskunftsservices in Anspruch nehmen. Um diesen veränderten Bedingungen und Bedürfnissen Rechnung zu tragen, bieten Bibliotheken zunehmend auch netzbasierte Dienstleistungen an. Die SUB Göttingen führte im Jahr 2002 den elektronischen Auskunftsservice "Frag' die SUB" ein, der es Nutzern weltweit ermöglicht, über ein Webformular Fragen zu den verschiedenen Sammelschwerpunkten der SUB, aber auch allgemeine Fragen nach Ressourcen und Dienstleistungen zu stellen.

    Apple bietet auf Antrag den Download der eigenen Daten an. Was man bekommt? Daten Oha, ich kann meine Daten anfordern. Bei Apple. Anfordern, das klingt gut, mache ich, dachte ich mir. Also ging ich vor eineinhalb Wochen auf diese Seite und forderte meine Daten an. Seit die DSVGO in den heimischen Landen wütet und Unternehmen überall nervös versuchen zu zeigen, dass sie sich wirklich, aber WIRKLICH an die Vorschriften halten, kann man neben gefühlten drei Milliarden an Emails samt Bestätigungslink eben auch die ganz Großen wie Apple in seiner Inbox finden. Besonders transparent will man sein.

    Abstract
    Die DFG-SSG-Bibliotheken haben bisher sowohl eine Informations- als auch eine Beschaffungsaufgabe, die darin besteht, die Fachgebiete mit einschlägiger inländischer und vor allem ausländischer Literatur auszustatten. Nun stehen im Internet und anderen netzen Informationsquellen zur Verfügung, die nur in ähnlicher Weise wie das SSG-Programm zu bewältigen sind. Anhand eines 'Clearinghouse'-Konzeptes kann der strukturierte Zugang zu fachbezogenen Iformationen in vernetzten Informationsquellen und vor allem im Internet geschaffen werden. Einige Aspekte des 'Clearinghouse'-Konzeptes sowie die Erfahrungen, Inhalte verteilter Informationsquellen mittels neuer Suchinstrumente zu bündeln, werden dargestellt. Die Verwendung von Gophern, Indices, Pointers, Subject Trees, WAIS-recherchierbaren Datenbanken und anderen Werkzeugen bei der Aufgabe, einen relativ präzisen Überblick über die relevanten Quellen für einen bestimmten Interessenschwerpunkt herzustellen, wird erläutert
