    Abstract
    Wesentliche Aufgabe einer wissenschaftlichen Fachgesellschaft ist die Förderung der fachlichen Kommunikation in ihrem Gebiet. Fachgesellschaften befassen sich daher traditionell mit der Publikation von wissenschaftlichen Forschungsergebnissen und anderen fachbezogenen Informationen. Die Europäische Mathematische Gesellschaft (EMG) nimmt als übergeordneter Zusammenschluß der nationale Fachgesellschaften eine besondere Stellung ein und bietet seit Juni 1995 mathematische Publikationen und Informationen elektronisch über ein System von WWW-Servern an. Kernstücke des über Europa verteilten Systems sind die elektronsiche Bibliothek der Mathematik mit elektronischen Zeitschriften und Konferenzbänden und Informationen über die Gesellschaft sowie die weltweite Aktivitäten im Bereich der Mathematik

    Abstract
    Die UB Heidelberg bietet als erste deutschen UB einen elektronischen Zugang zu ihrem Zettelkatalog. Dazu wurde der alphabetische Katalog 1936-1985 digitalisiert. Seit Juni 1998 steht der DigiKat als Recherche- und Nachweisinstrument für Benutzer und Bibliothekare im Internet zur Verfügung. Bei DigiKat handelt es sich um ein elektronisches Abbild des zettelkataloges. Die kostengünstige Realisierung basiert auf der Übertragung der Ordnungsregeln des Papierkataloges auf das elektronische Abbild. Mit dem DigiKat wurde ein Nachweisinstrument geschaffen, in dem im Allgemeinen schneller und mit größerer Trefferausbeute als am Papierkatalog recherchiert werden kann

    Abstract
    Am 15. u. 16.6.1998 fand dieses internationales Kolloquium anläßlich der Beendigung des vom Land NRW finanzierten Projekts 'Katalogisierungsverbund Öffentlicher und Wissenschaftlicher Bibliotheken in Nordrhein-Westfalen - eine Untersuchung über die Rahmenbedingungen der Teilnahme Öffentlicher Bibliotheken am bestehenden Verbund wissenschaftlicher Bibliotheken' statt (vgl. Dbi-Materialien; 170). Auf dem Kolloquium wurden die Ergebnisse des Projekts vorgestellt und in den Kontext der deutschen und europäischen Bestrebeungen positioniert, Öffentliche Bibliotheken für die neuen anforderungen der Informationsgesellschaft vorzuberereiten.     Abstract
    Kooperative Katalogisierung in der Bibliotheksverbünden und steigende Zahlen retrokonvertierter Altdaten füfhren zu einem stetigen Anwachsen maschinenlesbar verfügbarer Titeldaten. Dieser Entewicklung aud ser Katalogisat- bzw. Datenseite entspricht eine ähnlich rasante Entwicklung auf der Seite der Zugangsmöglichkeiten, den Online-Publikumskatalogen. Immer mehr Katalogdaten von immer mehr Bibliotheken sind in immer mehr OPACs nachgewiesen. Mit dieser auch durch neue Zugriffsformen (Internet) verbesserten Verfügbarkeit hält die bibliothekarische Sacherschließung längst nicht mehr Schritt. In diesem Beitrag werden die Vorgehensweise und Ergebnisse des Projektes MILOS I vorgestellt, das an der Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek zur automatischen Indexierung bibliothekarischer Titeldaten und zur Anreicherung von Katalogdaten durchgeführt wurde.

    Abstract
    Die DFG-SSG-Bibliotheken haben bisher sowohl eine Informations- als auch eine Beschaffungsaufgabe, die darin besteht, die Fachgebiete mit einschlägiger inländischer und vor allem ausländischer Literatur auszustatten. Nun stehen im Internet und anderen netzen Informationsquellen zur Verfügung, die nur in ähnlicher Weise wie das SSG-Programm zu bewältigen sind. Anhand eines 'Clearinghouse'-Konzeptes kann der strukturierte Zugang zu fachbezogenen Iformationen in vernetzten Informationsquellen und vor allem im Internet geschaffen werden. Einige Aspekte des 'Clearinghouse'-Konzeptes sowie die Erfahrungen, Inhalte verteilter Informationsquellen mittels neuer Suchinstrumente zu bündeln, werden dargestellt. Die Verwendung von Gophern, Indices, Pointers, Subject Trees, WAIS-recherchierbaren Datenbanken und anderen Werkzeugen bei der Aufgabe, einen relativ präzisen Überblick über die relevanten Quellen für einen bestimmten Interessenschwerpunkt herzustellen, wird erläutert

    Lecture given at the AIBM conference, Karlsruhe, Sep 95. The thesaurus appeared 1st in 1982, produced according to DIN standard 1463. This standard is largely adhered to, with 2 deviations: the controlled vocabulary is rather universal, covering more than 1 musical field, and descriptors are used as systematic collection points, with non-decriptors as subordinate headings. The 1994 edition has widened its contents range. There are still problems with ambiguity of headings and titles
